History

A Scholarship is a financial award given to a student to help pay for an education. Unlike loans, scholarships do not have to be repaid. They can be based on various criteria.

The Scholarship Fund was started in 2017 by Mary E. McClain and was funded by her Siblings (Walter V. Davis Jr., David Davis, Ronald  Davis, Constance Thornton, and Chris Davis).

This is a tax-deductible charitable contribution. The awarded scholarship amount is $250.00-$500.00 to the recipient.

100% of profit sales from  Mary E. McClain book, “Memories of Lincoln School of Huntsville, MO”, has gone into her parent’s scholarship fund, while we also raise money throughout the year with our sponsors, and fund raising. We are hoping everyone would be a part of this effort and contribute anything they can, any amount is celebrated. Relatives, friends, and communities of any size is celebrated and commended, especially annually.
